Twenty-five years ago today, Bedecked & Beadazzled went online.
And today, we get to do it all over again.
Welcome to the new Bedecked & Beadazzled.
The world has changed rather dramatically since September 10, 2000. So has Bedecked & Beadazzled.
We’ve been online. We’ve been a brick-and-mortar shop. We’ve been a much bigger brick-and-mortar shop. We’ve become an online studio. And somewhere along the way, Zoom opened the doors even wider and let us stitch together from just about anywhere.
Apparently, we’re not very good at standing still.
This newest version started with something decidedly unromantic: we needed better infrastructure.
If I have to do boring infrastructure things, I at least want pretty out of the deal.
So we made it pretty.
I gave you a few hints on Tuesday, but I’m not going to give you the grand tour today.
Go wander.
Click on things. Poke around. See what you discover.
After the amount of work that went into this, you can be quite certain I’m going to show you my favorite parts one by one over the next few weeks.
For today, I mostly want to say thank you.
Whether you’ve been here for 25 years, found me somewhere along the way, or arrived 25 minutes ago, thank you for being part of this wonderfully strange adventure.
Do I occasionally wonder why on earth I thought something was a good idea? Regularly.
Do I complain? Apparently with some enthusiasm.
But I’m already wondering what comes next.
I don’t know the answer yet.
That’s part of the fun.
This isn’t a finish line. It’s simply the newest version of Bedecked & Beadazzled.
Here’s to the first 25 years.
And here’s to figuring out what comes next.

Ruth, Congratulations on your successful endeavor. You should be very proud of your success. Lee and I enjoyed our class with you and I enjoyed meeting your cat, Michael.
Wishing you continued success .
Hi! Hope all is well, hugs to you both. xo
As a newbie, I found a canvas (far more complex than I had any business purchasing so early in my “craft”) that I wanted on your website. We exchanged a few notes, and I have been receiving your blogs/emails ever since. You are the MOST artistic, fantastical stitcher I’ve been exposed to, and I am in love with all of your work. Congratulations on the 25 years. XO
I’m so glad I didn’t scare you off. You can do anything! xo
Wow, Ruth, what an awesome milestone! Congratulations!! I’m going to visit your new site right now.

Whoah!!! This is a spectacular site! I’m not sure how it’s possible, but I even spotted some pieces I had not seen before. Just love everything I’ve peeked at so far.
And congratulations on your anniversary. Keep ’em coming!
Love,
Jo
Oh, I’m so glad you love the site! xo
It does seem very surreal, especially since we’ve been at this for a good bit longer. I tell you often and will continue to just as often… and more, thank you for all you do! ❤️
My ride or die. xo
Love your website and all you offer. Let’s plan on another 25 years!!
Thank you and yes to another 25!

YAY! You love it. xo
Thank you for the blog I’ve read for years now, for the canvases and stitches I’ve also admired for years, for all you do to help promote the wonderful world of needlepoint and how you always seem to do it with a smile. And thank you for taking a chance on me by bringing me into your group of very talented needlepoint artists.
Cheers to many many more years creating together. xo
