Well, I admit it. I have little to no willpower. There are just too many things I want to stitch. Today I decided to add another project to the pile.
I also decided that this particular canvas that’s going into the pile could be a fun Mystery with a Twist.
What’s a Mystery with a Twist? Well, it’s just like our Mystery Classes but without some of the structure. Some canvases have great potential but just won’t work in a traditional class; there are just too many little spots. We’d no sooner start an area than we’d have to start something else. I for one don’t love all those strings hanging from the canvas while working in class.
So, for this project everyone will be stitching in their own comfy stitching chair – no formal classes.
I’m also not planning exact dates for this mystery. We’ll start later in the summer and stitch one geisha at a time. There may be a month between lessons there may be more. I promise, we’ll keep it going, sparkly little gem. When we finish one it will feel like we’ve accomplished something. I even have a fun idea for the background.
Everything else will be just like a regular Bedecked and Beadazzled Mystery Class. If you decide to join the fun we’ll send canvas, stitch guide for a geisha and the first group of threads, beads etc. I will post fun pictures here; we can chat over on Stitcherie. We’ll have a good time.
Each time I stitch another geisha you will receive another shiny purple envelope of fun in the mail.
What do you think? Who’s in?
Ruth,
This sounds great. Wonderful canvas–who is the designer?

"I have little to no willpower"
Neither do I 🙂 and for this reason I say: sign me up. This sounds like it is going to be a lot of fun. I'm in.
Palma (just in case google signs me under my daughter's name again)
Hi – The canvas is by Lee.
I've enjoyed this canvas since the first day I saw it at Market. Looking forward to seeing your treatment.
Ruth, you know I have no willpower either! Sign me up too!!! I love this canvas!
What is the size of this canvas?
I can always justify another canvas if working small areas!!!!
What size is this canvas? I cn always justify small things!
Too bad there isn't more space between the ladies. I'd love to have them finished as individual pieces.
Looks like this is 10 x 16 inches on 18 count, so it's not tiny. But a lot of fun!

Looks amazing!
Have you ever considered sending all class materials at once and then emailing the stitching instructions? Threads and beads can be wrapped per class session in smaller non see through envelopes to keep the suspense and a substantial amount of money could be saved on postage.
While you ponder this I will get to work on two mystery class projects that are barely touched. I'm motivated!!!
Ruth, the Princess weighed in tonight: "Oh wow! [squealing]"
I'm probably in – I loved this as soon as I saw it.
