Our little Winter Flying Fairy is all about keeping warm in the winter. This is our current Mystery Class designed by Lulu MyPinkTurtle. The second lesson is all about knitting. Her hat is knitted; her scarf is knitted; her mittens and her socks are knitted. How many different ways can we stitch knit on a needlepoint canvas? You know I have to make them all different and yet in scale to one another.
My favorite knitting needlepoint option is her scarf. One simple stitch with lots of color, direction and thread weight changes creates a snuggly warm scarf.
Her wings are super magical and fun. They are worked in pulled thread! It’s a really easy technique that delivers big results! I even made a video to show you how it’s done. You can see that here. Dont’ forget to subscribe to the YouTube channel while you are there. Then you will never miss a video.
Her kitty cat had to be special and fluffy. When stitching black, you can pretty much do anything you want. You can’t see the stitch pattern anyway. This is doubly true when working with two strands of Fuzzy Stuff.
She’s coming along with all sorts of fun details. The next lesson will include her coat and all that fur which I promise will not be turkey work. 😉
Lesson Three is December 3oth. We have canvases and threads in stock if you would like to join us stitching something sweet and wintery. Here’s the link to order.
