I hope you are enjoying the sunshine as much as these little birdies are. We’ve jumped right into summer here. There may have been a day of Spring this year but I certainly can’t remember it.
Three Birds by Brooke Connor is a super fun stitch. This is our current Mystery Class. We are two lessons in with one more to go.
Brooke’s art is perfect for experimenting and playing with different techniques. Lot’s of areas to try a bit of this and a bit of that. Our focus with this design is goldwork and beads.
The center bird is almost complete. We added fun string art, eyelets and ray stitches. The large pearls and the goldwork outlines are really what makes it sing.
I’ve added another video to our YouTube channel to demonstrate how I added the green purl to the bird’s tail. You can see it here.
The birds on the left and right have beaded tails. This one is covered in little beaded loops! If you would like to sign up and have a complete kit sent to you at the end of our class, here’s the link.
Lesson three of the Three Birds class will be in about three weeks. In the meantime, I am getting ready for our Spring Embellishment Extravaganza which will go on thanks to the magic of zoom. I can’t wait to see everyone. I’ll start posting the wonderful canvases that everyone selected in the next few days. Row of Ladies II is at the top of the Mystery with a Twist Rotation and I’m packing and shipping your orders as fast as I can. That you all for your support.
Until next time.
