What’s new in your world? Staying home, stitching? Finishing things? Starting new?
There are so many new things in the new normal. Not liking most of them, but what’s a girl to do?
This girl needs to show you lesson five of Lady with the Lime Green Background! This mystery is marching along and I keep having ideas so welcome to the Mystery Class that just keeps going. There will be 6 lessons. I promise to stop there.
Lesson five is all about the fun patterns on her dress. They really are fun and fit my requirements of fun stitching nicely – Not too much of any one thing. You know my attention span. Each colored area is a different stitch!
I even made you a video on how to handle an Outline Stitch that needs to wiggle and move and change direction. You can see it here.
My favorite thing about the patterns are the sequins. This is one of those things I knew from the beginning I was going to do and I love it.
Lesson six will be at the end of the month and will be the peacock feathers and leaves in her hair. I’m planning something super fun for that. I’ll show you our next Mystery Class very soon. It’s something totally different.
If you would like to join the fun of the Lady with the Lime Green background, here’s the link. I can send the first 5 lessons now and the 6th when it is ready or ship complete at the end.
In other news, kits for Let’s Fall in Love are packed and I start shipping tomorrow!
I’m not sure when we will be back together in person but until then I’m sending you all a big virtual hug.

First, sequins are the bomb. Second, what you stitched over the yellow background to the right is fantastic. Love that you chose a different color to work a line stitch over the yellow.
Look forward to seeing the feathers!
Totally awesome! Love tbe sequins such fun you are having with this lady?
Hi Ruth – I love the flower in her hair *and* the sequins. In fact, you’re inspiring me to try sequins for the bow in this canvas: https://stitchtherapyneedlepoint.com/search.php. I’m nearly done stitching this canvas and have the bow left. LMK if you and I can ‘chat’ (e.g. email during CV-19) about the sequin idea for the bow. I will need to buy sequins and am wondering if I can purchase from you. Thx in adv! You have my email. Arlene 😉
