Let me start with what is on all of our minds, the devastation in California. It is beyond imaginable. We all know people who have lost everything and those who were lucky. We continue to send our love and support to those affected no matter how big or how small.
If you need a distraction, I can supply kitty photos. This is Harley working. He’s quite good at it.

Or I can show you what we did in the first lesson of Vibrant Beauty. Vibrant Beauty is our current Mystery Class and it hits all the right notes. It’s bright and colorful. It’s not too big, and it sparkles! I couldn’t resist having the painters add sparkle to match the original art by Romantzart. It is glorious.
The first lesson was last Sunday. We stitched the vase using a brand new metallic thread that I have added to our Color Dreams line of threads. It is spectacular!

The vase is a Laid Filling Stitch that showcases the metallic thread to the best advantage. It’s multi-colored in its sparkliness. Trust me when I say photos do not capture the sparkle.

We also stitched the background in an all over counted pattern using several colors of Color Dreams Floche. The overdyes are perfect to enhance the watercolor feel of the painting.

Next up will be flowers or leaves. We shall see. The next lesson is the first Sunday in February. Here’s the link if you would like to order a kit. Harley is not available for order.
Mystery Class News
In honor of finishing Santa Fe Felines we are excited to launch our next Mystery with a Twist. Mysteries with a Twist work just like regular mysteries in that they are released in lessons. The twist is that you don’t know when the next lesson is coming. These are long term projects spanning several years. The vast majority of us don’t finish canvases all at one time. We work on this and work on that. If that sounds like you, this is the perfect solution. We will launch a lesson every so often (read in between the other things I am doing) and each time it arrives it’s like a fun old friend coming to visit.
Our newest offering is this fabulous Zecca Triptych! Three canvases 8″ x 11″, perfectly manageable that when stitched turn into one large framed beauty!

It’s going to be a gem when finished. Here’s where you can sign up.
