I became obsessed with Clara’s dress on the nutcracker. Three layers of stitches to create the pattern just weren’t enough. LOL. I added beads and the most adorable scattering of buttons across the bottom hem. So cute. This was the final lesson of Eleanor Grosch’s Nutcracker Mystery Class
It was all about the finishing touches. The little nutcracker itself has a few fun details.
Check out the wings on the Sugarplum Fairy. Talk about easy, couch Kreinik Micro Ice Chenille in place and violá wings!
The tree skirt has a tiny twisted cord for it’s light blue trim.
It’s off to the framer when I finish the basketweave. Ahem. When might that be?
This class was supposed to be a week ago but was rescheduled due to snow. First lesson of David Galchutt’s Sudden Realization is this Sunday. We’re starting with her face! Never too late to sign up. She’s going to be gorgeous if I do say so myself.
Lots of fun stuff in the wings. Santa Fe Felines Lesson Three is the current Mystery With a Twist in the queue so that will be coming along soon-ish.

that is nothing short of amazing, Ruth. You really do know how to make each canvas so special and beautiful. The creative processes that lead you to “see” a canvas in the way that you do is stunning.
Fabulous, I knew I would regret not taking this class!! Love the beaded hem?
