I love sparkle.

I love beads.

I love polka dots – not that it matters for this piece.

And I love rick rack. It’s true, I do.

Put all of those pieces together and you will have my inspiration for lesson two of the Ghost Collage Mystery Class.  There’s lots of beads.  There’s a bit more sparkle and there’s rick rack!  It’s a trifecta.

The border uses both lime and black jumbo rick rack slightly overlapped and tacked in place to create a fun pattern for the border.

The tombstone is simple and graphic with a hint of sparkle.

The beads add even more sparkle creating the spider web and the bats.

The fat spider is trying his best to steal the show.  But the ghosts, they are magical.  The ghosts are needle felted using glow-in-the-dark roving.  I like needle felting.  It allows me to create a perfectly smooth field much like an appliqué.

Look how much they glow!  Pretty cool! No?
