We were fortunate to have Brenda Stofft here this weekend teaching Artemis.
Artemis is the cutest ever bunny! His body is completely needlefelted and his clothes are needlepoint. The flowers and the berries in his basket are stumpwork! This is a tour de force in techniques and skills we don’t usually do.
But we did do it! We’re pretty darn proud of ourselves!
This type of needlefelting is different from the needlefelting we have done before, but Brenda has it all mapped out. She guides you as you shape each part of the face and where the curves and valleys go.
We set the eyes in so that we know he will look good.
Look at that face. So cute….
Every face has its own personality, but they all look great.
Once we felted the base of the face, we were on to ears.
Artemis supervised the shaping of Ellen’s ears to make sure they were just right.
hoppity, hop, hop, hop
Look at these faces! OMG we actually learned how to do this and they look great!
Silliness ensued and Artemis’ bird’s nest became a hat on his head.
He is just too cute!
Artemis’ basket is filled with stumpwork pansies, and berries and moths!
We worked hard for three days but it was so worth it.
Artemis and his friends were delightful companions. Brenda Stofft is a lovely teacher. Friends were made; all in all it was a great weekend.
As you might have guessed, Brenda and I have conspired through the weekend to bring you more fun projects so stay tuned. It’s going to be great fun.

P.S. Our new Beehive Ambassador, Johnny was a huge hit. He made sure everyone was happy and relaxed with lots of purring and snuggles.
P.P.S. Don’t forget, Brenda Stofft trunkshow runs through March 15. 20% off all instock or special order canvases.
Thanks for the great weekend Ruth. I learned so many new techniques and had fun doing it. Send my regards to Johnny…hope to see you soon. Ellen
Wow, that looks like a fun class!
