When you were born to stand out?
This seems so fitting just a day after the death of Kate Spade. Her style was classic yet whimsical and she wasn’t afraid of color! She shared my love of pink and orange and of course polka dots. Life is always better with glitter and sparkle. She lived color fully.
Dr. Suess and zecca are a timeless pairing. 🙂 Fabulous color, bright and happy, whimsical and yet timeless. All the things I love. This canvas spoke to me the moment I saw it. It has been a happy long term mystery with a twist for us. I am excited to show it to you complete.
The final lesson takes us through the two leaves on the right which are my favorites in the piece.
And of course we had to finish all the dots! Lots and lots of dots and beads! YAY! It makes me happy.
Here’s Dr. Suess from the University of California, San Diego. I think he would be pleased with Zecca’s interpretation of his quote.

Perfect post ❤️
So excited!!!
I have a question. It conecerms the lower right hand corner, inside the beaded frame. Your canvas shows it in purple, not sure if it’s part of the leaf in this lesson – staggered stitch or if goes with the other leaf.
But the problem is, my canvas is not purple. It’s olive green like the leaf, but if stitched like the leaf- will lose the leaf shape. Using the staggered stitch in purple over the green is going to be a problem I think. Won’t the green canvas be exposed
well darn! I’m afraid the green will show through the purple stitch. Is just the purple area painted olive or are the purple area and the brighter green area both painted olive? Either way, I would do both of those areas in olve to continue the green leaf all the way to the corner. Hope that makes sense. xo
Has anyone had Why Fit In framed? Looking for suggestions. I’m not happy with local shop’s ideas.
have the same problem, how to frame it ?
Ruth – I know this took some time to finish – but you are worth the wait! Fabulous!
Thank you 🙂 I’m so glad you like it. xo
