When we were planning the American Needlepoint Guild festivities for last August I talked to Melissa Shirley about launching a new design at Bedecked and Beadazzled. Imagine my surprise when I opened the box to find Witch Shoes, Witch Hat and Witch Dress. How cool! She knows me!

Of course I had to stitch them. I didn’t get to them until after Brenda Hart came to teach in November, but I’m glad I waited. Everything I learned from Brenda came to life in these pieces. They are just way too cool and painted on 13ct they stitch in no time. I think I did them both in about 2 weeks. The background is a big open stitch that allows the pretty gold painted canvas to show through.

Then I sent the little gems to the finisher and voila! They came back as the cutest ever pillows. I can’t wait for Halloween!
