Okay, now that you’ve had a couple of days to wander around the new website, let me show you one of my favorite parts.
Color Dreams has a home.
A real one.
For the first time, every current Color Dreams thread line—and every current color—is online.
You already know and love Floche. It’s been part of the family for a long time.
But now it has company.
Silk Pearl and Twisted Silk Pearl are there.
Naturals, which is quickly becoming a true fan favorite, is there.
Merino is there.
And Petite Silk Lamé Braid is there.
All the colors. All in one place.
This makes me ridiculously happy.
Color Dreams has grown rather organically over the years. A thread would come along because I wanted a particular look, a particular texture, a particular weight—or because I simply couldn’t find quite what I wanted anywhere else.
And then, of course, I wanted more colors.
Because apparently restraint has never been one of my defining characteristics.
What I love is that each of these threads does something different. They aren’t simply more colors for the sake of more colors. They give me different tools to play with when I’m looking at a canvas and deciding what I want an area to become.
Soft. Shiny. Matte. Fuzzy. Smooth. Subtle. Bold.
That’s the fun.
And now you can actually see all of them.
Ready to play with color?
Pick a thread. Pick a color.
Or do what I do and start wondering what other colors we need.
Because clearly this is how these things happen.

I can’t help it Ruth, your adjectives remind me of the lyrics from the song (and musical) Hair:
“I want it long, straight, curly, fuzzy
Snaggy, shaggy, ratty, matty
Oily, greasy, fleecy, shining
Gleaming, steaming, flaxen waxen
Knotted, polka-dotted
Twisted, beaded, braided
Powdered, flowered, and confettied
Bangled, tangled, spangled, and spaghettied”
Perhaps not oily or greasy. But the rest seems to fit.
The new website is great!
