Volume 5 of Mary Legallet’s Whimsical Stitches series is on the way, and this one focuses on a category we all deal with—backgrounds.
Big backgrounds, small backgrounds, in-between spaces that need just the right amount of interest without taking over… it’s all in here. It’s the kind of reference you reach for when you’re deciding how you want a piece to feel.
One feature I think you’ll appreciate—more than 75% of the stitches include QR codes that link to stitched samples. So instead of guessing how something might look, you can actually see it stitched before you commit.

Starting tomorrow, I’ll be sharing canvases from our May Zoom-bellishment class. That class is full, but the canvases—and the ideas behind them—are too fun not to share.
And we’ll also start previewing what’s coming for July Zoom-bellishment, which is open for signups. If you’ve been curious about joining one, you’ll get a good feel for what we do and how these weekends come together.

Mystery Class News
The next Mystery Class, Friends by Johanna Virtanen begins June 7th. There is absolutely nothing cuter than a big eyed cat and her best birdie friend. We’ll build this one in layers over four lessons—Future dates are June 28, July 12, and August 9—each time revealing just enough to keep things interesting. You’ll start to see the story unfold, and trust me, there are moments where the stitching really makes the design come alive in ways the painted canvas only hints at.. Here’s the link to sign up.
Starting next month we will be stitching the Secret Garden by Mary Charles. Official zoom class dates are May 17, September 13, December 13 plus one or two more as needed. Design is 12″ x 15″ on 18ct. It is packed full of tiny details that will be so much fun to stitch. If you would like to join us, here’s the link.
Zecca’s Window of Opportunity is a long term mystery. The first lesson just shipped so there is plenty of time to get caught up before lesson two. This is a combination of three 8″ x 11″ canvases that when combined are show stopping! Here’s your link for this one.
