Our first lesson of the Santa’s Pup Mystery Class is in the books, and oh my, he’s even cuter stitched than on the canvas!

Designed by Margaret King, one of our newest artists to join the Bedecked and Beadazzled family, this festive pup already has our hearts.

We started with the border, combining a large Crossed Stitch in Petite Silk Lamé Braid with Satin Stitch squares for a beautiful play of texture and light. The inner white border adds just the right amount of depth—it’s slightly raised, giving the whole piece a crisp, finished edge even before we’ve stitched the center.

But of course, the real star of the show is the pup himself. He’s beyond adorable—soft, expressive, and full of charm. Basic stitches in Impressions set the foundation, but it’s that delicate Outline Stitch worked in a single ply of Soie d’Alger that truly brings him to life. It’s all in the details!

Mystery Class News

Our first Mystery Class of 2026 has been announced.  Dots Upon Dots by Barbara Basso.  This 10″ x 10″ canvas on 18ct is everything I love: modern, whimsical, and packed with possibilities. Over three lessons we’ll bring our fashionable duo to life with threads, beads, and stitches that celebrate every single dot.  Class dates are January 25, February 15 and March 8 from 1-3pm on Zoom.  Here’s the link to signup.

Starting in Spring 2026 we will be stitching the Secret Garden by Mary Charles.  Official zoom class dates will be posted soon.  Design is 12″ x 15″ on 18ct.  It is packed full of tiny details that will be so much fun to stitch.  If you would like to join us, here’s the link.
