For a canvas that is only 10 x 10 there is a lot going on here. This is our current Mystery Class, Dragonflies by Helen Heins Peterson. The second lesson is now complete and it was all about stems and leaves. And a couple of small bugs too!
The leaves use my favorite go to leaf stitch, Slanted Brick. Well, it’s my favorite when I don’t use either of my other two favorite leaf stitches which add dimension. This is a good go to when you want a flat painterly leaf. And when you want a home for cute little bugs.
The stems are fabulous Shinju from Treenway couched in place and yes, the background is now complete! YAY!
This is a Mystery Class so I have 4 lessons planned. Lesson three is next Sunday. We have canvases in stock ready to ship so if you would like to join the fun and stitch along on zoom or not, here’s the link. If you prefer a kit at the end of the class we can do that too. I have lots of crazy planned for this canvas. We just need to lay the groundwork first. 😉
Let’s Fall in Love is still in progress. Threads are starting to arrive. Don’t get too excited yet. It will still be awhile. It is coming and it’s epic.
