What an adventure! We have the best of plans and then someone throws you a curveball. Yes, that is my one and only sports reference. We were scheduled to have our Spring embellishment class a few weeks ago but due to Covid we had to pivot. So, we took it to zoom!
And I can assure you it was fun. Lots of wonderful ladies stitching together but yet, safely tucked in their favorite stitching chair. You know how it is, you stitch better at home. So that’s what we did. Everyone got their kits in plenty of time to review the guides before class so they were ready with questions. There’s another plus. And they even got surprise gifties, because what is a class without gifties?
So, without further ado, let me show some of the fun stitches and projects. I’ve been teasing you with canvases and threads so now, let’s see stitches!
Oh, I love the Sweater Dog by Johanna Virtanen. Look at all that color!
This is Alicia by Sandra Vargas. One west coast and one east coast stitcher so there’s lots to show and tell on this one.
The companion to Alicia is Bunny Time and it’s almost finished!
Here’s the sweet deer with the butterflies. The butterflies look ethereal when stitched with Accentuate.
Elizabeth Foster is an artist licensed by Melissa Shirley and this flying alligator is the coolest. He’s beaded! I promise he stitches fast though.
Key Lime Cottage from Purple Palm is so happy and sunny! Just what we need. Look at all the stitching Catherine got done!
La Sirene Le Prince Le Chat is another fun summery canvas. You know you love mermaids. She’s in-stock if you need a quick ship project.
Laurel Burch’s Pescado will keep you entertained. Every fish is different!
The Folk Art Santa is crazy fun. Plenty of room to play and try different things. He’s a happy guy.
And then we have the Painted Bunting. This tiny canvas from Bee Things is a cutie pie filled with fun thread and beads.
If you see something you like, click the bold type under the photo. As I said, the mermaid is in stock. Others are already on order or can be ordered. Right now we are predicting canvas deliveries in September for new orders but that could change too. Please be patient. I am working as fast and hard as I can as is every needlepoint shop in the country. We appreciate and need your business but so many things are now beyond our control.
Hope you are having a fabulous weekend.
