First we made it easier to choose a project. Then we gathered the techniques, videos and conversion charts you may need once the stitching begins.

There is one more useful thing hiding in plain sight: inspiration.

Sometimes you are not looking for instructions. You simply want to see what happened to a painted canvas once stitches, threads, beads and a little Bedecked & Beadazzled magic got involved.

The Mysteries are all in one place

Go to the Blog and choose Bedecked & Beadazzled Mysteries. You will see an archive of our past Mystery Classes, with pictures of the projects gathered together in one place.

Choose a Mystery and you can click through all of the posts that made up the class – the announcement, the individual lessons and the finale. You can begin at the beginning and watch the canvas develop, one decision at a time.

That is the interesting part. A finished photograph shows you where we ended. The lesson posts show you how we got there: which areas changed first, where texture was added, how the threads and beads altered the artwork and how all of those separate choices eventually became one finished piece.

Special Events are there too

The Special Events archive works the same way. You can see the projects from past events and follow the posts that introduced them and showed what we did.

Maybe you are considering one of those canvases. Maybe you already own it. Maybe you simply want to see how I approached a particular area before making your own decisions. You do not have to remember the name of the event or search through years of blog posts and hope for the best.

Some of the canvases are still available. Some are not. The ideas are still useful either way.

A blog you can actually use

After 25 years, the blog has become much more than a list of things posted in date order. It is a record of the projects we have stitched, the experiments that worked, the questions we answered and the very good ideas that appeared along the way.

Now you can use it that way.

You can find a project. You can find an answer. And when you need a spark, you can wander through the archives and find that too.

Useful things should be easy to find. Inspiration should be too.
