Karl and I went on a field trip last night. Oh the lights! You know I like sparkles of all kinds. Metallics, beads, crystals, diamonds, holiday lights……
There is no other word for some of these displays other than outrageous!. Do you ever wonder where these people store this stuff? Maybe they don’t have needlepoint stashes to last them well into the next Millenia.
I hope you enjoy these pictures. And that they bring a little sparkle to your holidays.
Baltimore has a quirky area named Hampden that is totally a throw back to the 50’s. Remember the movie Hairspray? That’s what I’m talking about. Beehive hair -dos, pink flamingos, John Waters movies, pink poodles, cat’s eye glasses. It’s a funky little area and they do Christmas right.
We headed off to 34th street to see the lights and were instantly greeted by Santa!
There’s a one block stretch of 34th Street row houses where every home is decorated for Christmas. Some traditional and some artsy but all done with love.
Thank you Karl, for taking all these pictures! Thank you to all the people who took the time to set up these displays. Great job everyone.
Thank You Ruth . Wishing you a Very Merry Christmas.

Ruth, how beautiful! Looking at these wonderful photos (thank you, Karl!) is a lovely break from all the hustle and bustle at Christmas and all the issues of dealing with my in-law's health. Thank you and Merry Christmas!
