Lesson 4 of Robotic Uprising is officially in the books, and guess what?
The blue bot is DONE! 🎉
He’s fully tricked out with a dryer vent hose on his chest (yes, you read that right) and the cutest little nose you’ve ever stitched onto a robot. He’s got charm, he’s got character, and he’s got embellishments that are out of this world.

This lesson was packed with fun extras:
✨ Clever textures
✨ Mixed media galore
✨ Finishing touches that bring our blue bot to life
I mean… he’s practically ready to boogie with R2-D2.

Now, about that plan to wrap things up in 5 lessons?
Cue the sound of stitchers everywhere giggling with recognition.
Let’s just say: Lesson 6 has entered the chat.
There’s just too much juicy, sparkly, stitchy goodness left to squeeze into one final lesson—so we’re giving ourselves a bit more space to do these bots justice.
Lesson 5 is up next, and it’s going to be BIG.
And yes, you can still join us. Catch up is totally doable—and totally worth it.

Let’s keep this uprising going, one fabulous bot at a time.
Mystery Class News
Our current mystery class is Robotic Uprising by David Galchutt. We are four classes in. The fifth class is this Sunday, June 29. There will be a fifth class June 29 and we are going to need a sixth class! Stay tuned for that date. All classes are on zoom! We have canvases available. I promise this is a fun stitch. Here’s the link to join the Uprising.

Up next? Designed by Lane Tree and Lily (you know her from Queen’s Court, Best Friends, and Dancing Queens), this is her adorable Bunny Love canvas! It couldn’t be more different from our current class—tiny (6″ x 8″), handpainted on 18ct, with big blocks of color just begging for fabulous stitches and fun threads. If you’ve ever thought about joining a Mystery Class, this is your moment. We’ll stitch the bunny in two short Zoom sessions: July 20 and August 10, 1–3pm ET. Sign up here to reserve your spot.

Not to be left out, we have a fabulous Zecca canvas, Window of Opportunity starting as a mystery as soon as threads arrive. This one won’t be on zoom — it’s a series of kits mailed straight to your door. Each panel of this triptych fits on 12×15 bars—easy to hold, but when framed? A total showstopper. Here’s the link for this one.

If you are reading this post on the blog great! Make sure you are signed up for the mailing list so that you don’t miss anything Bedecked and Beadazzled. Did you know we are also on Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest and YouTube? Even more places to follow the fun. xo again.

Um…okay, I’ve been following the robots with interest so I’ll ask the question. Dryer hose? Is that on the left side (his right) next to the lightning bolt? What is the big button with the lights inside? What are those “ear” pieces? BTW, I’m loving this idea of using found things and shopping for needlepoint supplies at Home Depot.
The thing on the left reminds us of a dryer vent hose. Never know when you will need to stitch one of those right? The big button with the lights inside is a glass cabochon. The lights are reflections. A lot of the stuff I use is limited edition things from beaders and vintage crystals. xo
Ruth — I want to know what you are drinking when you work this canvas? You are having way soooo much fun!!
And a note for Hillary —– thanks for the great laugh about Home Depot! For your pleasure: Aisle 19 — Hardware — an entire aisle of washers, whatsits, nuts, bolts and whoknows, with and without big and little teeth, tiny knobs, twisty things that bounce (don’t ask), and other such things as one may find when we walk through thhe doors (with a low, thick mist swirling around our feet) and into the geat beyond wthin the walls of Home Depot!
Welcome to Needlepoint!!
You are a riot! Love you. xo
