So, allow me to introduce you to some of my favorite new books….

Julia Snyder has done it again, another go to book.  Great Layers for Needlepoint.  This book is nothing but Laid Filling Stitches.  Lay long stitches across an area of your canvas and then couch them in place to create a pattern.  It’s fun, it’s quick and it gives your canvas a fresh new look.

All of Julia’s books are this funky tall skinny shape making them easy to find on your bookshelf.  This is the 7th book in her series.  Each one has stitches not seen anywhere else. Have you seen Patsey’s border, named after Julia’s mother. Oh my!  Love that stitch.

The girls at Little Shoppe Canvas Company have done it again.  Their second book, Stitch Ins & Outs is filled with super creative stitches for all things In & Out.  Barns, Baskets, Bricks, Buildings, Chimneys, Fabric, Floors, Houses & Molding, Patios, Pavement, Roof, Rugs, Trims & Borders, Walls & Wallper and Windows.  It is a must have.  This book was well worth the wait.
