You know I love showing finishes. Here’s Deco Detective by Eleanor Grosch! She’s a super dynamic stitch. All of that drama with just a few clever stitches.
If you like big blocks of color, this is the canvas for you. She’s only 8″ x 8″ handpainted on 18c. Sue did a beautiful job stitching her and framing her to perfection. She hangs in a glorious guest bathroom.
The wallpaper is brilliant!
In case you are curious how my mind works, here’s a little peek. When faced with the large background area and the what stitch to choose dilemma, I did a little research. I found this photo of great art deco wallpaper and then started designing the stitch! It’s a great background and is in volume 5 of my stitchbooks. Here’s the link to our book colection.
If you are a fan of all things Art Deco, here’s the link to order.
Mystery Class News
The second and final lesson of the Eye Poppin Peacock was last Sunday. I will post photos from that next.
The next mystery starting in July is My Neighbor’s Garden by Brooke Connor and it is jam packed with color!
Let’s Fall in Love is on track. Threads are arriving. It will still be awhile but we’re getting there. There’s lots of threads and ribbons being dyed. We will ship as soon as possible in the order you signed up. It may be time to update your charge card. If you have moved on from this project because it got old and dusty, I understand. Please feel free to drop us an email and let us know so that we can release your kit to someone else.
The newest of the new is in the What’s New section of the website. Stay up to date on new canvases by visiting that link often 🙂 You never know what might just have been released.
