Woo Hoo!  Talk about a fun project.  I really just want to spend 2 more days stitching this one and finishing it.  It’s crazy fast!

 

We had a lovely weekend stitching this brand new ellen giggenbach canvas and it was just so fun.  A great group of ladies joined us and we have more kits to send to our long distance friends.

It’s not too big 9.75 x 9.25 hand painted on 18ct.

It’s very bold and graphic so it lends itself to stitches that are equally bold.

My first decision was the background.  What could I do to make that fun and exciting?  hmmm, the canvas was laying on my striped Kate Spade laptop case when inspiration struck!  STRIPES!  How cool is that? You never know where a design inspiration will come from.

 

 

The bowl was another challenge, since it is curved and has a pattern on it.  It needed stitches that were non directional.

And of course since it is me, while it doesn’t have beads it does need to have vintage swarovski crystals.  What fun would it be without them?
