I had this idea when I first decided to stitch the Harvest Colors Puzzle as a mystery class at Bedecked and Beadazzled that it would be a fun counted canvaswork design.
As I stitched on the painted canvas I wrote the instructions a second time so that it could be done on blank canvas. Here’s the results.
It was stitched on JAR Designs hand dyed canvas in tenacious teal dark.
JAR Designs does beautiful colored canvases. The only drawback is that they are soft. You really, really need to use a light tension when stitching otherwise the holes will stretch.
If you are a counted canvas person the chart for this design will be available soon. We’re working on translating other EyeCandy handpainted canvases into charted designs so there will be more in the series!
This is a great idea, Ruth. I'm not a counted thread person, but even I like to occasionally follow a chart instead of making it all up as I go. Sometimes it is relaxing not to have to make any decisions.
What a great idea! I loved the design but the colors were not anything I would have used. Now I can do your great design with my own colors! Let me know when you get the charted instructions for this one, Ruth.
