This weekend was our first major embellishment class of the year! I taught eight wonderful ladies and we had a great time.
Sue started lulu mypinkturtle’s bistro dog. He is a little shall we say, three sheets to the wind. Not sure what that means but it looks like it fits. Bistro Dog is available here.
Carol started Sharon Hendy-Moman’s Bejing Traffic Dash. There’s a lot going on in this piece. My idea is through the use of threads and stitches to move things forward and back so that the kids and the pagodas really come forward and grab your attention. Bejing Traffic Dash is available here.
This is a super elegant William Morris Style floral from Dream House Ventures. It’s going to be wonderful when finished. All the white outlines will be beaded! Golden Poppy is available here.
Melissa Shirley’s Goldfinch Bouquet combines such happy colors and pretty flowers into a beautiful piece. I know Karen is going to love finishing this one. I may even have to add it to my WIP pile one day. Join the fun and order the Goldfinch Bouquet here.
Birds of a Feather peacocks, another happy fun canvas. The trees are all different stitches and we’re playing with the area where they overlap forming a new pattern! The peacock is going to be very fun with his sparkly tail. Crystals will be added to the center of each eye! The peacock is available here.
Another canvas that is already on stretcher bars and ready for me to stitch is the Laurel Burch Wild Cats. Here’s Christine’s started. It will look like Cloissone when finished. All the outlines will be beaded and raised! You know I love that! Wild Cats are available here.
Last but not least is Sandy Gilmore’s Paris canvas. Look at how much is already complete! This will stitch up in no time at all! Visit Paris here.
Thanks for visiting. Happy Stitching.
