I’ve decided to change things up a bit. You know I like to do that right?
We are stitching merrily away on the White Cat from Johanna Virtanen. Lesson #3 is tomorrow. There is another canvas that is oh so similar that has spoken to so many of you, Wings. I decided to make this an in tandem mystery class! What fun!
Many of the design elements are the same, the pretty watercolory feeling and lots of roundish shapes, so many of the techniques and stitches that I am using on the White Cat will work on Wings.
Jamie is stitching Wings so while you are getting biweekly updates on the White Cat we can also have biweekly updates on Wings! And if you would like to join the Wings party, click here. We can ship Wings in installments or at the end of the project, whichever you prefer.
There will be 4 lessons for our sweet fairy. Which each lesson a new part of the mystery, how we stitch her and what threads we use will be revealed. Isn’t she darling?
In lesson one we stitched the background. No surprise there, right. It is the same background as on the White Cat but scaled down just a bit.
We also gave her oodles of personality but stitching her face and her hair. These are the bones of the piece.
Look at that cute little face. In lesson two we will work on her dress and wings. Stay tuned to see how she develops. If you would like you own little angel, here’s the link.
