We had a bit of snow and ice last week. Winter is coming. There’s nothing in the forecast but let’s just say, it’s coming.
While we wait for the fluffy white stuff, let’s stitch trees in the snow. Brenda Stofft designed this beautiful winter scene for us for our Winter Mystery Class. Winter Morn.
The second lesson of our mystery class was all about stitching trees. There are buttonhole pine trees with white fluffy snow. We all have trees like this on various canvases so I did a video showing how I created these trees.
Dramatic pine boughs bring the scene to life and they are so quick to create. Here’s a video showing how I created them. I was on a video roll.
We also stitched the path through the snow. This is one of my favorite stitches for areas that need just a bit of texture.
The canvas is coming to life!
More details will be revealed with each lesson. We have more canvases on order. They are due early in 2021. If you would like to order a kit, here’s the magical link.
In between packing and shipping kits, I’m writing guides for our first embellishment class of 2021. It’s just around the corner. Sneak peeks will be happening very soon. Not to worry, I’m stitching too. Santa Fe Felines is at the top of my queue.
