July zoom-bellishment was a blast. We spent two wonderful days together discussing canvases and how to get the most out of them. We talked about perspective and focal points, what stitches work and what don’t. There’s so much to learn and experiment with in needlepoint. Why not do it all, LOL. I’m a big experimenter. What if you use this thread/stitch combination here; will it make the area look more realistic? I like combining different media and different techniques in my canvases.
Too Fluffy to Hide by Heather Gauthier is no exception. A cockatoo in a party hat allows a lot of room for fun techniques. There will be ribbon and beads and beaded chatons! Why shouldn’t the centers of the flowers have crystals?

The thread kit is yummy! Look at all those beads!

Too Fluffy to Hide canvases are in stock and sure to sell quickly, so if this is tempting you, click here and send us an order. Heather is the same artist who created Chinchillin our current mystery class.
More for zoom-bellishment launching tomorrow.
In other news, I have added another video to our YouTube channel. Here’s the link for how to bezel a chaton. Full instructions with photos are in the guide but now there’s a video too!
Mystery Class News
Our current mystery class is Chinchillin! by Heather Gauthier. Class three is Sunday, July 21, with the final class August 11. It’s another happy, adorable canvas. Here’s the link to signup for Chinchillin.

Santa Fe Felines will be the next of the Mysteries with a Twist to get it’s final stitches. Don’t get excited yet. We are still a good bit away from that launch date. The newest of the new is in the What’s New section of the website. Stay up to date on new canvases by visiting that link often :-) You never know what might just have been released.

Just want you to know that you have become my new Amy Bunger– always tempting /teasing me with your new canvases. I especially like the Angel and Owl. They will be on hold for many months. I’ll be building a collection for my wish list. I still have Amy’s last 2 project classes projects waiting for attention. My self-control is fading. It’s almost gone The backlog is increasing. OOPS!
