As long as Annie O’Brien Gonzales and her wonderful canvases are on our minds, please allow me to share another beautiful canvas. This is Patio Table!
Christine did a masterful job stitching this canvas and I love how it turned out!
The cactus uses a ton of ribbon, but is just so fun!
The small vase is beaded because it’s a vase and did you you notice the cute fuzzy baby cactus?
Here it is framed. The frame is hand punched tin! It really brings the whole piece to life.
Christine will attest this was a fun stitch. Lots of big stitches and great colors. I wrote this guide for an embellishment class a little over a year ago and soon it will be hanging in its forever home.
Thanks for sharing, girlfriend.
If you would like to stitch Patio Table, here’s the link. I’m happy to order the canvas for you and send a complete kit.

Yay Christine! Yay Ruth! This looks fabulous. Wonderful stitching, great guide and the framing is the icing on the cake.
YESSSS…super addictive stitch! I have a difficult time finishing projects but Ruth knows I kept at this one for a year until it was complete! And that ribbon effect is so incredible…we are using it on the latest embellishment piece I took with Mary, Gold Pot and Figs. I think Ruth invented the most perfect stitch ever! Thanks so much for such a fun piece! xo
I absolutely love this in every way!!!
This is beyond what I imagined! It’s so pretty Christine, beautiful stitching of Ruth’s creative stitches…you guys knocked it out of the park! Kudos!
