I like to change it up. One minute I am stitching crazy tiny details on a witch, the next I am stitching a super simple Candy Tree. The Candy Tree by Eleanor Grosch is our current mystery class. This is going to be a quick one. Two lessons with lots of beads and crystals!
My vision for this canvas is simply lots of beads and different techniques. The basic striped candies are stitched in either traditional beading or brick beading. News alert! I did how-to videos for beading! Finally, right? They are on my YouTube channel. You can visit them anytime you want a little refresher.
The big solid candies are super puffy thanks to layers and layers of Flair over a bit of padding.
The real magic on this canvas so far is the background. There’s a lot of green. So how shall we stitch it? We could pick a any stitch we wanted and fill it in. That would be fine but what if? What if we turned the background into an environment? What if there were framed snowflakes hanging from the sky? What if they sparkled? That was my vision. Super sparkly snowflakes hang from the sky framed by Jessicas worked with Sparkle Braid!
There are more sparkles to come. We have additional canvases arriving at the end of January. Here’s the link to reserve yours. I can promise it will be just as fun to stitch after Christmas as it is now. 😉
Don’t forget we’re having a sale. I marked down a ton of canvases. You don’t want to miss these. Here’s the link.
