If you’ve been in the shop you know I have a fabulous tulip canvas painted by Lani and stitched by a friend Cara Sue. It’s abstract and wonderful. Cara Sue paints with threads. She has a feeling she wants to evoke and like the strokes of a brush with paint the needle flies.
She recently took on the challenge of stitching the Deco Cat by HP. You may remember that I taught this piece as a mystery class a couple of years ago. It’s a great canvas and lots of fun to stitch.
Cara Sue added color and texture. The cat is no longer in the weeds or in the trees. He’s in the jungle! This is where all cats want to be, they imagine themselves king of the jungle stalking their prey. I love this piece. The drama the color. Such a great piece of art!
Cara Sue inspires me to think outside the box. Just because the canvas is painted green doesn’t mean it needs to stay green.
