Blissful Alignment by David Galchutt is our current mystery class. It’s all sparkly and shiny. You know I love that.
In this lesson we finished his face. I’m in love with the tiny Jessicas that make the flowers on his forehead and cheek. Small and airy with Petite Silk Lamé Braid. What did I do before we had that thread?
This lesson is also all about the coins. Each coin is about the size of a smallish ornament so there’s a lot we can do with these. And they are all different so even more fun.
You know this was my chance to add more bling. Big beautiful Swarovski stones adorn the center of each coin. The threads are an assortment of silks and metallics. There’s more Tent Stitch than I would like, but a girls got to do what a girls got to do.
Each coin has to be special and magical and dramatic but at the same time not detract from his face. It’s going to be a balancing act.
There are lots more coins to stitch so I better get to it.
Lesson 4 will be Labor Day weekend assuming all my supplies come in time. Lesson 3 still hasn’t shipped to everyone because I’m waiting for stuff. The all important stuff. LOL.
If you would like to get on the list for a Blissful Alignment kit when more are ready, here’s the link.
While we wait for threads and canvases to arrive, I’m writing guides for our Fall embellishment class of 2020. Sneak peeks will start soon. Not to worry, I’m stitching too. Let’s Fall in Love and Santa Fe Felines are the top of my queue.
