Thanksgiving is behind us and the frenzy of the holidays is here in full force.
Between decorating and wrapping and gifting and eating it’s time to start another Mystery Class. I chose a beautiful Christmas Stocking by Tapestry Fair for our holiday mystery. It’s on 13ct and has lots of potential for stitches and of course bling.
My challenge is to design the stitches and embellishments so that the canvas stitches quickly but still has lots of style.
Yesterday was the first class, we stitched the background areas of red, rust and purple. We are off to a good start already with this much complete. It didn’t take much time at all to work this much of the stocking.
All three areas start with a foundation of the same stitch. The purple and the rust areas are embellished with a second layer of stitches that are unique to one another.
There’s more fun to come on this canvas. Lesson number two is in two weeks!
By now you know that at the beginning of each Mystery we also launch the matching snap tray that is only available to those in the class.
Love this snap tray. It’s super colorful.
Everyone in the class gets this pretty partridge needle minder. I love the vintage feel with the big sparkly crystals.
We also have matching scissor fobs. One can never have too much bling.
Its not too late to join us, we have canvases in stock and more threads will arrive at the end of the week. Give us a call at 410.296.0405 or sign up online here.
Love it so far! Can't wait to start mine!!
