We took a little detour for Halloween Trees and Pumpkin Harlequin, but I’m not finished showing you around the new website.
A website can be beautiful – and I certainly wanted this one to be beautiful – but if you still have to hunt for the useful things, we have missed the point.
After 25 years, there are a lot of projects, stitch guides and ideas living here. One of the most important goals of the new website was to make it easier to understand exactly what you are looking at and exactly what is included.

Is the Stitch Guide included?
You can now find that answer directly on the product page.
If a Stitch Guide is included with the canvas at no additional charge, the product information clearly says:
Stitch Guide Included: No Additional Charge
It also identifies the Stitch Guide Author.
That distinction matters. The canvas designer created the art. The Stitch Guide Author developed the stitches, selected the threads and embellishments, and wrote the instructions that help you bring that art to life.
Sometimes the Stitch Guide is written by me. Sometimes it is written by another very talented teacher or designer. Now you can see who wrote it before you order.
No guessing. No wondering whether the guide is included.
Looking for a project with a plan?
Start with the Stitch Guides section. Every canvas there either includes a Stitch Guide or has one available separately. If you would also like the thread kit, simply choose that option on the product page.
Already own the canvas? That’s fine too. Most Stitch Guides and thread kits can be purchased separately.
You can browse all of the projects together, shop by Stitch Guide Author or shop by Canvas Designer.
Sometimes you are looking for a particular artist. Sometimes you simply want someone else to have solved the entire stitching puzzle for you. I understand completely.

New to needlepoint? New-ish? Feeling adventurous?
That is why we have Beginner-ish.
These are not traditional beginner canvases that make you wonder how many squares you must stitch before you are allowed to have fun. They are beautiful, thoughtfully chosen projects that could absolutely be your first or second canvas.
You may need to breathe, trust yourself and learn a few things along the way, but that is part of the fun.
Beginner-ish does not mean boring-ish.
Useful things should be easy to find. Choosing a project should be exciting, not an exercise in detective work.
On Sunday, I’ll show you where we put the videos, techniques, conversion charts and other useful information you may need once the stitching begins.
