Today was a chilly day, perfect for finishing the Haunted House mystery. There were lots of areas yet to be stitched but they were mostly quick stitches. Sometimes all it takes is a few well placed stitches to make a detail pop.
The tops of the brick walls are a new laid filling stitch with a twist. The lantern requires just a little embroidery to come to life.
I’m pleased with the way the entire piece turned out. The colors were a little dull for me but it fits the season, so what’s a girl to do?
Of course my favorite areas are the beaded gate (my basket weave)
and the haunted house. Love that just a few stitches in the right spots make it sing!
Next up is the Partridge Stocking. Class #1 is two weeks from today. See you there.
I love all of it! especially the owl!
All i can say is WOW!!! This is amazing. Love it.
I wish I lived in Maryland so that I could join in all the fun and fantastic pieces.
Ceil from Mason, Ohio
makes me want to try needlepoint once again.. lovely Halloween stitchery
