… solves a lot of problems. 🙂
You know I already believe this, but here’s proof. Wow, what a weekend. We beaded and experimented and made a glorious new connection with a fabulous teacher. Eleanor Pigman.
Our first class was a mixed media adventure. Eleanor shared her techniques and tips while we created cuckoos and hummingbirds!
For the cuckoo, it’s all about the eyes! They tell the story. Well, the feathers tell the story too, but the eyes need to be first.
Eleanor shared design and composition techniques with us.
On day two we worked on Lizzy the Lizard.
We could have simply followed along and colored inside the lines but that wasn’t for us. We started designing our own lizards. Everyone’s is different!!!
Eleanor’s flamingo is one of my favorite pieces. Yes, because it is pink! Look at how she handled the color changes. Different colors of beads with the consistency of white beads on top. It makes a very subtle color transition. Oh yeah. I’m going to use this!
I love the padded starfish. Another great technique.
Thank you Eleanor for an inspiring weekend. The wheels are turning in our heads and we are excited for your next visit. This one was much too short.
To everyone who attended, thanks for coming and having an open mind as we went on this journey. You are the best!
