Dots and Leaves, more and more dots and leaves.  LOL.  That was the theme of the fourth lesson of Fantail by ellen giggenbach.  This is our current mystery class and it is almost complete.

Memory Thread makes wonderful stems and what could be prettier than ribbons leaves?  Most of the leaves are simple Lazy Daisy Stitches worked with different sizes of ribbon. 4mm, 7mm and 13mm are all used on the dark stem!  The tiny leaves under the flowers are Japanese Ribbon Stitches.  YAY!

What exactly is a mystery class? A mystery class is just like a mystery in a book; it unfolds in chapters. With each chapter more of the mystery (how are we going to stitch this canvas) is revealed.<
Mystery classes are one of the most fun things in the shop! You sign up knowing only what the canvas is that we will be stitching. How we are stitching it is the mystery. Each time you come to class (or we mail you your next kit) another section of the mystery is unveiled.
Now, you also know that if I am teaching it, it’s going to have a bit of bling. You also know I like to play with different threads and different stitches.
We meet pretty much every other Sunday afternoon (unless the class- room is booked with another teacher) and review the twists, turns and fun of the current lesson. Class is from 1 to 3 pm. Can’t join us in person? No problem, we will ship to you. The instructions have full color photos of the canvas stitched to date along with complete instructions and diagrams.  We also offer the option of shipping Mystery Classes complete at the end of class.  That helps with shipping costs- more money for needlepoint!
