Yesterday was the third lesson of the Nutcracker by Eleanor Grosch. And, wait for it, there’s a cliff hanger. You won’t see this one coming.
It was all about the Rat King. He now has a fabulous blue jacket worked in a two part stitch and a shiny white ascot! Yes my rat king is wearing an ascot. LOL.
His tail and the edge of his ear have nice dimension. I’m enjoying taking a very graphic design and making it more 3D through stitches and threads.
Clara’s dress needs to be very special. It’s a fun lacy pattern worked in three steps. And apparently I’m not done yet. I want to add more!
We also started Clara’s lovely wavy hair.
It doesn’t look like there’s much more to do, finish Clara’s hair, stitch the nutcracker and done, right? This was originally planned as a three lesson mystery class but…. I have ideas! I’m having too much fun. There are lots of big glorious ideas, more layers and details to be added, so stay tuned. We’re having one more lesson before we call this one done, January 13. This means that Sudden Realization by David Galchutt will not start until January 27th.

Fabulous! Love the ascot and tail. I can only imagine what you’re cooking up for her dress.
