We finished the Winter Flying Fairy class just before the new year and she is a cutie. She’s everything that winter stitching should be, easy with a side of drama. What was that drama? Big fluffy loopy knitting yarn that when couched in place with a few stitches creates all of her fur trim. Easy Peasy! You knew I couldn’t do all that fur in Turkey Work.
Her coat is Diagonal Double Woven worked in one of my Color Dreams Floche colors. There’s nothing wrong with a stitch that doesn’t require a laying tool and looks this pretty. The flower centers are filled with beads, another plus in my book.
Check out the sweet little bird sitting on her coat fur and the bonus sequins in the sky.
Here she is in all her fluffy, flying glory.
She will be off to the finisher soon. I think she is going to be a standup. We have canvases and threads in stock if you would like to stitch something sweet and wintery. Here’s the link to order.
