The second lesson of Why Fit In, the one and only Zecca adorable orange bird, has shipped!

This is a Mystery with a Twist so the lessons are approximately 3 months apart.  Lots of time to comfortably keep up.  Or not.  Your call.  🙂

I think she is just so darn cute that you will want to stitch her all day long.

For this lesson, we focused on the background.  I like to finish my backgrounds early on so that I can easily count across unstitched areas and not have to guess my way through stitched patterns.

I created a pattern of cascading leaves to fill my background.  I had a great time stitching it.  Because I realize that not everyone has my same level of stitching mojo I have included two other options in the instructions.  Each one has a little less compensating drama.

We also stitched the branch in this lesson and give our girl legs and toes to hold on to the branch.
