Blog posts are currently a bit intermittent. We are busy as bees at the hive. This isn’t the blog post I sat down to write. I guess that means you are getting another one tomorrow. At least I hope this means you are getting another one tomorrow. This pandemic has changed everything. Old news, I know. Everything is currently taking longer to do. The littlest errand, is now a time intensive adventure. Let’s hope you don’t have to schedule anything because it will be weeks or months out. My driver’s license which expired in June is scheduled to be renewed at the end of September. It is what it is, but, let me review for just a second what it means to our stitchy world.
New canvases that are being ordered today are scheduled for delivery from our painters in late December. This isn’t just me, this is pretty much across the industry, so start planning your stash. What do you want to stitch this winter? I have planned class/canvas orders through the first half of next year and I’m working on the second half. I hope you like what I picked (wink, wink)
Threads are in pretty good shape. However, there’s always the one oddball thread that you need for a project that is on backorder. What can I say? It’s Murphy’s Law. There are so many beautiful threads out there and I like to use a variety in my guides. I prefer to ship kits as near to complete as possible. There is no sense sending you a kit where there are 4 colors for an area, you have to shade and one is missing. That’s more annoying than waiting. So we wait. The reality of this crazy waiting for random threads means that I have a lot of partial kits almost ready to ship to you. When a thread order comes in, every order is checked. That takes time. This means that it is taking more and more time to get an order out the door. Having to review thread kits multiple times is time consuming. Orders are being filled as quickly as humanly possible.
Classes and events are still going on. They are all virtual through at least February of 2021. I’m not taking chances and I am not allowing you to take chances coming here, so we are virtual. That too means more planning.
The good news is that we are having a wonderful time even if not physically together. We were all a little hesitant with our first zoom classes but now it’s just what we do. We jump in, we visit, we ask questions. We show off what we are doing. All is good.
Please be patient, plan ahead and keep creating.

If you are reading this post on the blog great! Make sure you are signed up for the mailing list so that you don’t miss anything Bedecked and Beadazzled. Did you know we are also on Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest and YouTube? Even more places to follow the fun. xo again.
Ruth anyone who doesn’t understand the impacts of a Pandemic has been living on another planet(we should ask them if there’s any room for us,no?)
I can’t wait to see what’s up your sleeve for future classes and continue to be amazed at your creativity and artful genius. My only disappointment is the impact COVID has had on my personal time which has now become mostly professional time preventing me from joining in some of the recent fun!
Please keep doing what you’re doing and know I’m grateful!
Miss you lots! xo
Anything happening with Santa Fe Cats???
The next lesson of Santa Fe Felines is in process. I anticipate this Fall. xo
Vicki, beautifully said!
Guess who ordered a webcam lol. I opted for a low def version so people can’t see my pores. This pandemic has made me accept technology lol. With all the time and money I’ve saved on travel I can do more classes lol.
woo Hoo! She has a camera! See you Saturday! xo
