Oh what fun we had! For a bunch of girls who are used to stitching together, live and in-person, we made the best of a not perfect world.
Last weekend would have been our Zecca Fashion class. We took to zoom and still had three fun days of stitching.
Now this darling bird is ready for her closeup.
I love Zecca’s whimsy. I love the colors. It all makes me happy. This is a large piece and I know that someday I want to frame it so my stitch choices play to how I am going to finish it and what my attention span is. LOL.
The head feathers are big beautiful crescents and so fun to stitch. I love the mostly open background. It’s big and bold and a great pattern.
The body is a big stitch too using Burmilana so that it covers quickly and has some texture. The sequins make me laugh and boy do they sparkle!
The border is pretty covered for me. I wanted it to look like a mat with leaves on top and our fashionista peeking through the window. The inner border is Arctic Rays because, why not?
The leaves are big and bold and oh so joyous. Super fun to stitch.
This really is a happy happy piece. If you would like a kit, click here. I do have a few canvases in stock!
Thank you ladies for join my maiden voyage on zoom. There were some challenges but we did it! You rock!
Until next time.
