To all of our beading friends, allow me to announce our first beadwork class of the year!  Teresa Gorecki of Bespoke by Teresa is a new teacher for us.  Prepare to be blown away.  I have had the privilege of beading with Teresa and I can promise you are going to learn a lot!  And have a fabulous time doing it 😉

Our first class is a tour-de-force of techniques.  Bead embroidery techniques combined with beadweaving, create layers and layers of texture.

Ruth’s Garden, March 7 & 8, 11-5 pm

This piece brings together elements of bead weaving, bead embroidery and a modern version of a classic embroidery technique. Classic Peyote and modified Complex Netting combine to create gorgeous bezels for our rivoli and chaton crystals.  Stump work embroidery combined with goldwork creates 3D bead embroidered leaves.  You will learn how to layer and create a beautiful dimensional piece.

All of the materials in this piece are of the highest quality.  We will combine sterling opal. 24k gold beads. Palladium beads. Custom coated and vintage swarovski crystals. Each set of Opals has an individually curated color pallet. Sterling Opals are gorgeous man-made opals.  They have lots of color and depth.  No two are alike.  You will get to select your own opals at the start of class. We have worked to provide the highest quality materials at the best price point possible.

Create the necklace as shown or work with Teresa’s boxes of goodies to morph this garden into one of your very own.  We will have additional Sterling Opals and crystals available for purchase so you can customize your design or make other pieces.  Did someone say earrings?
