Well, today did not go quite as planned. It should have been lesson #2 of the Silly Christmas Birds, but we had snow and ice. Not as much as some parts of the country but one never knows. So, we decided to cancel class for the day.
Just because we cancelled the in person class doesn’t mean that all our outpatients should have to wait even longer for the reveal. So, without further ado, everyone gets to see lesson #2 at the same time.
Here it is, starting to take shape. This lesson is lots of fun. One of my favorite stitches, the Woven Ribbons makes the bright yellow background.
The green borders are fabulous Brenda Hart stitches that I love.
And yes, we now have a birdie! It’s the Santa Bird! Complete with knit hat and a fuzzy wuzzy snuggly bird body.
Three weeks until lesson 3 with Christmas in between! Good thing Santa made his appearance here today in the form of a little red bird. He’s going to be busy.
See you soon.
P.S. You will need invisible thread for this lesson, I did not include it in the outgoing kits as many of you have mentioned you are being overrun with the spools. If you need it, let me know.
Love this! Cheerful and bright, just the way we like Christmas!
Thanks for the fun, Ruth. You brighten my mornings.
