Little was a dear sweet cat belonging to a friend of mine. Ellen saw Quiet by Kimberly Santini and knew it was her kitty. I can’t begin to tell you how proud I am of Ellen and how beautifully she stitched this canvas. I’m in love.
Here’s the original canvas; it could have been just basketweave; it could have been lightly stitched with a metallic thread in a pattern; it could have been many things. I love it as it is.
Thank you Ellen for sharing your talent.

Thanks for posting this! I’ve wondered how you would stitch this style canvas–this is very eye-opening for me!
This is just one of the options. Kimberly’s canvases are so beautiful that everything works on them 🙂
So cool! Has a street cat vibe 😉
Street cat vibe for a little girl kitty. perfect. She was a fighter.
I am absolutely in love with the cat titled “Quiet”. Is it available for purchase?
Any information that you could provide would be most helpful. It just took my breath away when I first saw it.

It’s a beautiful canvas.
What a great canvas, Ruth!
It has all kinds of possibilities! Wow!
Great colors, great design.
All kinds of possibilities. 🙂 Miss you. xo
I love the way Ellen stitched this – it is so painterly and alive. I wish my brain worked like this with canvas and thread. This is pure artistry – the threads are just dancing on this canvas. What a loving tribute to her kitty. Gorgeous!
