Its time to unveil our first Mystery Class of 2019! Let’s stitch Sudden Realization by David Galchutt.
I’m ready for something lush and detailed. What about you? I love the art of David Galchutt and this is one of my favorite pieces. There are so many details and textures and embellishments to create. Oh, we are going to have fun. Just look at the fabrics on this kimono.
Canvas design area is 8 x 16 handpainted on 18ct canvas. Class cost is the price of the canvas plus $20 per lesson and the threads, beads etc. necessary for that lesson. The canvas cost for this design is $248.00.
Right now I am planning 4 classes for this mystery. It may change to 3, we will see. Talk to my muse, maybe she knows. Class dates are planned as January 13 and 27, February 10 and 24, 1-3pm at the Beehive of Bedecked and Beadazzled. Fresh colors to chase away the gray of winter. If you’re attending in person, there is an additional $15 per lesson fee.
You will need 12 x 20 stretcher bars.
I hope you will join us for the first mystery class of 2019! Here’s the link to sign up. Or give us a call at 410.296.0405.
What exactly is a mystery class? A mystery class is just like a mystery in a book; it unfolds in chapters. With each chapter more of the mystery (how are we going to stitch this canvas) is revealed.
Mystery classes are one of the most fun things in the shop! You sign up knowing only what the canvas is that we will be stitching. How we are stitching it is the mystery. Each time you come to class (or we mail you your next kit) another section of the mystery is unveiled.
Now, you also know that if I am teaching it, it’s going to have a bit of bling. You also know I like to play with different threads and different stitches.
See you soon.
