Zoom-bellishment
Let’s play.
Zoom-bellishment is where we explore possibilities together.
Unlike Mystery Class, where everyone stitches the same project, Zoom-bellishment features many different canvases. Some are brand-new designs with fresh stitch guides. Others are favorite canvases I’ve taught before. The fun comes from seeing how many different ideas can come to life in a single weekend.
You choose your canvas from a curated selection. I create the stitch guide, filled with threads, stitches, techniques, and plenty of ideas to make your project uniquely yours.
These classes have an energy all their own. While you’re stitching your canvas, you’re also learning from everyone else’s. One student’s background sparks an idea for another canvas in your stash. A thread choice on one canvas inspires a completely different approach on the next. It’s amazing how much we all learn simply by watching and asking, “Why did you do that?”
Every class is held on Zoom, so you can stitch from your favorite chair while still feeling like you’re gathered around one very large table with friends. The conversation is relaxed, questions are encouraged, and there’s always something new to discover.
You’ll receive your canvas, threads, and a complete stitch guide before class, so we can spend our time together experimenting, demonstrating techniques, answering questions, and exploring options. We’ll work through each canvas together, discussing why certain stitches or threads work well and exploring alternatives along the way.
For each session, the selection typically includes five brand-new canvases with brand-new stitch guides, along with five or more returning favorites that already have stitch guides available. This combination keeps every class fresh while giving returning stitchers plenty of choices.
Limiting the number of different canvases allows us to give every project the attention it deserves while still bringing lots of fresh inspiration to every class.
If you love understanding why a stitch works, enjoy exploring different possibilities, and find yourself saying, “What happens if we try this instead?” you’ll feel right at home.
