This was originally a mystery class and is available as a canvas with an optional stitchguide or as a complete kit. And our stitchguide is complete not only with instructions and diagrams but many full color photos.
This canvas depicts a subtle watercolor feel for the background and a sanctuary for our feathered flock of friends. There are beautiful flowers all around and a sweet birdhouse just waiting for an occupant. And the visiting birds are colorful, happy, and can’t help but chirp away.
To honor the artist’s vision, delightful threads, stitches and beads do the trick! Overdyed Floche and #4 Kreinik deliver the perfect shade for a variety of open background stitches. The birdhouse also has a touch of sparkle to catch the bird’s attention. And speaking of birds…they are beaded! Yes, a variety of different beading techniques maintain the individuality of each feathered friend. The accompanying flowers are a mix of textured and elevated stitches to maintain perspective and interest in this beautiful project.
Needless to say, this piece is soft, subtle, and with stitched elements that bring it to life. Canvas design area is 12 x 13 handpainted on 18ct canvas.
