Determining Naughty or Nice

Doesn’t the canvas title say it all? You can just see Santa giving serious thought as to who is on the Naughty or Nice list! <LOL> And so, we had to give extra special thought as how to stitch this fella to make sure we stay on the Nice list! His face is stitched with a light stitch and his nose is ever so rosy and dimensional. And don’t you just love Santa’s spectacles….we also had to make sure that he had 20/20 vision to read the lists! Other dimensional elements include a custom stitch for his hat and coat (to make the most of the beautiful shading), fuzzy iridescent threads for the fur, layered Japanese ribbon stitches for the flower on his cap, beaded snowflakes and ever so subtle overdyed Floche for a few of the background elements (an unexpected surprise!).
Yes, I think Santa is happy and I am still on his “good” side (fingers crossed!). <LOL> Our stitchguide is complete not only with instructions and diagrams, but lots of color photos. This project is a fun one and ever so happy (just as Santa should be!).
Canvas design area is 10 x 13 handpainted on 18ct canvas.
