This was one of our early Zecca Retreat projects. When Karen Hennessey and I get together, it’s a “craniac” (creative + brainiac) event. <LOL> And we haven’t looked back ever since!
This project reflects the great time had by all! To expand on the reference to “craniac”, we have lots of beautiful beading done in every possible way….sewn on individually, in clusters, brick beaded in several sizes to add depth and even a beaded bezel eye! And then there’s Repousse’ for the cute dragonfly tail. And then we couldn’t help ourselves without incorporating adorable special buttons for the frog’s eyes and to decorate the leaves. And the big chameleon even has a “special something extra” for his super cute tongue. Between the out of this world embellishments, beautiful threads, and perfectly selected stitches, this jungle rocks! Such a happy piece!
Yes, you can enjoy all of our “craniac” suggestions with the stitchguide. It is complete not only with instructions and diagrams, but many full color photos. Oh what fun! We will be glad to send the canvas, optional stitchguide, or the whole kit-and-kaboodle as a complete kit. Enjoy!
